BREAKING: Russia tells Aleppo Jihadis, 'leave or die as terrorists'

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has spelled out clearly the terms Russia is giving to the US and to the Jihadis in eastern Aleppo: they must all leave the city by a fixed date or be treated as terrorists.

His words could not be clearer:

"Those groups which refuse to leave eastern Aleppo will be treated as terrorists. By refusing to walk out from eastern Aleppo they will in fact go ahead with armed struggle. We will treat them accordingly, as terrorists and extremists, and support the Syrian army in its operation against such armed gangs.

"We proceed from the assumption the Americans, when they put forward their initiative for letting all militants leave eastern Aleppo, were well aware what steps they and their allies will have to take to influence the militants entrenched in that party of the city."

Clinton's_'Russia_Did_It'_Cop-out

The Clinton machine - running on fumes after Hillary Clinton's failed presidential bid - is pulling out all remaining stops to block Donald Trump's inauguration, even sinking into a new McCarthyism.

In joining a recount effort with slim hopes of reversing the election results, Clinton campaign counsel Marc Elias cited a scurrilous Washington Post article that relied on a shadowy anonymous group, called PropOrNot, that issued a "black list" against 200 or so Internet sites, including some of the most respected sources of independent journalism, claiming they are part of some Russian propaganda network....

The Coming War on China

I have spent two years making a documentary film, The Coming War on China, in which the evidence and witnesses warn that nuclear war is no longer a shadow, but a contingency. The greatest build-up of American-led military forces since the Second World War is well under way. They are in the northern hemisphere, on the western borders of Russia, and in Asia and the Pacific, confronting China.

The great danger this beckons is not news, or it is buried and distorted: a drumbeat of mainstream fake news that echoes the psychopathic fear embedded in public consciousness during much of the 20th century....

Trump advisors aim to privatize oil-rich Indian reservations

Native American reservations cover just 2 percent of the United States, but they may contain about a fifth of the nation's oil and gas, along with vast coal reserves.

Now, a group of advisors to President-elect Donald Trump on Native American issues wants to free those resources from what they call a suffocating federal bureaucracy that holds title to 56 million acres of tribal lands, two chairmen of the coalition told Reuters in exclusive interviews.

The group proposes to put those lands into private ownership - a politically explosive idea that could upend more than century of policy designed to preserve Indian tribes on U.S.-owned reservations, which are governed by tribal leaders as sovereign nations.

The tribes have rights to use the land, but they do not own it. They can drill it and reap the profits, but only under regulations that are far more burdensome than those applied to private property.

Editorial Note

Seems to me the indians ought to create their own corporation to then do whatever extraction... They have more right to it than anyone else!

If it's going to be exploited, the proceeds belong to either the Indians OR to the entire U.S. public; We Must Prevent OUR lands going to further the wealth of the already ultra-rich!

BREAKING: Oil Company Openly States They Will Defy Army Corps Order in Standing Rock

Balking at an earlier decision by the Army Corps of Engineers, Energy Transfer Partners - the company responsible for constructing the Dakota Access Pipeline - says the denial of an easement necessary to drill under the Missouri River is of no consequence for its plans to complete the project.

Corporate Press Release On The Matter

Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. (NYSE: ETP) and Sunoco Logistics Partners L.P. (NYSE:SXL) announced that the Administration's statement today that it would not at this time issue an "easement" to Dakota Access Pipelin eis a purely political action - which the Administration concedes when it states it has made a "policy decision" - Washington code for a political decision. This is nothing new from this Adminstration, since over the last four months the Administration has demonstrated by its action and inaction that it intended to delay a decision in this matter until President Obama is out of office.

The White House's directive today to the Corps for futher delay is just the latest in a series of overt and transparent political actions by an administration which has abandoned the rule of law in favor of currying favor with a narrow and extreme political constituency.

As stated all along, ETP and SXL are fully committed to ensuring that this vital project is brought to completion and fully expect to complete construction of the pipeline without any additional rerouting in and around lake Oahe. Nothing this Administration has done today changes that in any way.

Their spokesman later, in a different communcation stated: "We intend to proceed."

Pentagon buries evidence of $125 billion in bureaucratic waste

The Pentagon has buried an internal study that exposed $125 billion in administrative waste in its business operations amid fears Congress would use the findings as an excuse to slash the defense budget, according to interviews and confidential memos obtained by The Washington Post.

Pentagon leaders had requested the study to help make their enormous back-office bureaucracy more efficient and reinvest any savings in combat power. But after the project documented far more wasteful spending than expected, senior defense officials moved swiftly to kill it by discrediting and suppressing the results.
