Their study discovered that rats fed GMOs developed tumors and died prematurely. But that wasn't the purpose of their study. It was set up to examine the long term toxicity potential of eating Monsanto's GMO corn along with the inherent exposure to Roundup.
After Seralini's long term toxicity study results were publicized with displays of rats showing huge tumors, a tsunami of outrage from pro-GMO scientists and shill journalists got favorable mainstream media (MSM) press.
The hundreds of scientists who defended Seralini's work were mostly ignored. Many fence sitters were left confused and willing to side with the barking dogs of the biotechnology industry.

"These are the same people that said Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction," Trump's transition team said, launching a broadside against the spy agency. "The election ended a long time ago in one of the biggest Electoral College victories in history. It's now time to move on and 'Make America Great Again.'
And then the summary, this is how they do it: 1.Announce "consensus" (not unanimous) "conclusion" based in circumstantial evidence now, before the Electoral College vote, then write a report with actual details due by Jan 20.

3.Fail to mention that not one of the leaked DNC or Podesta emails has been shown to be inauthentic. So the supposed Russian hacking simply revealed truth about Hillary, DNC, and MSM collusion and corruption.
4.Fail to mention that if hacking was done by or for US government to stop Hillary, blaming the Russians would be the most likely disinformation used by US agencies.
5.Expect every pro-Hillary lapdog journalist - which is virtually all of them - in America will hyperventilate (Twitter is currently on fire) about this latest fact-free, anti-Trump political stunt for the next nine days

Needless to say, Democrats - still eager to make sense of their election loss and to find causes for it other than themselves - immediately declared these anonymous claims about what the CIA believes to be true, and, with a somewhat sweet, religious-type faith, treated these anonymous assertions as proof of what they wanted to believe all along: that Vladimir Putin was rooting for Donald Trump to win and Hillary Clinton to lose and used nefarious means to ensure that outcome. That Democrats are now venerating unverified, anonymous CIA leaks as sacred is par for the course for them this year, but it's also a good indication of how confused and lost U.S. political culture has become in the wake of Trump's victory.
Given the obvious significance of this story - it is certain to shape how people understand the 2016 election and probably foreign policy debates for months if not years to come - it is critical to keep in mind some basic facts about what is known and, more importantly, what is not known:

Killer robots programmed to seek and murder humans will no longer be a futurist's worst nightmare about a dystopian near-future. Not because humanity has finally figured out that not using technology to murder one another could somehow benefit it but because it is a reality even today. And the worrying (or exciting, depending on one's threat perceptions) part is that Russia has already developed two of such robots to deploy on its borders.
According to Mirror, these Russian robots are designed to track and attack humans from more than 4 miles away. The shooting range is even higher -- more than 6 miles to be specific -- for ground vehicles or low-flying drones. Equipped with cutting-edge radar technology, multiple long-range grenade launchers and HD & thermal video imaging, they can neutralize any ground or aerial threat well before it enters the Russian territory.
The robot-pair will operate together to guard Russia's borders that have allegedly witnessed a lot of aerial surveillance by rival powers of late.
Meanwhile, Russian engineers are claiming that the new robots can also be used to pick out targets for long-range explosive weaponry. However, the new system will initially be only used for general surveillance.
The robots will have the technology to not only monitor the exact locations of an incoming drone but also find details such as its point of origin, as well as the arc of its movement through the sky.
"In its structure there is a radar unit that detects a target: humans to about 7km distance, a car up to 10km," chief project engineer Dmitry Perminov told Russian news media, Mail Online reports.
Perminov added that the device is regularly being refined and upgraded in the hope that it will one day be able to operate at optimum capacity without requiring any human intervention whatsoever.

The CIA shared its latest assessment with key senators in a closed-door briefing on Capitol Hill last week, in which agency officials cited a growing body of intelligence from multiple sources. Agency briefers told the senators it was now "quite clear" that electing Trump was Russia's goal, according to the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss intelligence matters.

I can't help but notice that the new Washington Post-certified "master list" of "fake news" outlets does not include any of the media organs overseen by David Brock, one of the leading propagandists of the modern era. Why is this? Virtually everything that David Brock does would qualify as "fake news" under any objective criteria. He runs a bunch of websites that may seem to the naked eye to be legitimate "news" sources, but in reality are just Democratic Party / Hillary agitprop conveyor belts. This is well known and accepted, even by Hillary's inner-circle, many of whom view Brock with suspicion.

Brock said he would join efforts to pressure tech companies like Facebook and Google to better filter out fake news. The American Bridge founder argued that after Facebook removed its news curation team following criticism that the team was devaluing some conservative media outlets, the social network increased the spread of "fake news" stories.
"When Facebook came under right-wing pressure back in June and fired a bunch of editors, it became clear that a lot of garbage started spewing out of Facebook," Brock said, referencing the social media giant's decision to nix human editors in favor of allowing an algorithm to curate its small "trending" news box on the site.
"So the first order of business is for some of these companies to adopt some standards and clean their own house," he added. "And we're going to be involved in a campaign to push them to do the right thing and do that."
